Edgebook, a multi-market trading journal
A journal and backtesting workbench for traders. Log each setup as structured data across gold, forex, crypto, indices and stocks, then review the results by setup, session and more. The live demo runs on simulated sample data.
Interactive demo with simulated sample data. Figures shown are not real trading results.

Our role
Designed and built by the founder as a personal project, not for a client.
What was delivered
- A dashboard with key figures, an equity curve and insights generated from the logged trades
- A structured trade log: instrument, session, entry, stop, target, result and R for every trade
- A research screen that slices the journal by instrument, asset class, strategy, session and more
- A daily journal for market conditions, plan, emotional state and lessons
- An instrument catalogue of 23 markets, which you can add to
- A public demo with simulated sample data and a reset button
What you can explore
- Switch the dashboard and the trade log between gold, Nasdaq 100, EUR/USD, Bitcoin and the whole journal
- Replay the equity curve and read the insights generated from the logged trades
- Slice the research screen by instrument, asset class, strategy, session and setup quality
- Read the daily journal entries and browse the 23-instrument catalogue
What is technically interesting
- One shared calculation layer, so every page shows the same numbers
- Each instrument carries its own contract details, such as pip size, point size and decimals, so different markets can share one journal
- The public demo is deterministic: it loads the same 260 simulated trades every time and syncs nothing to a server
- Built with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Zustand and Recharts, with automated tests
Outcome
No verified outcome is published for this project, and we do not state results we cannot verify.
